Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) “Commonly known as Japan Center”, was established in 2004 in the purpose of  training and enhancing Human Resource Development to ensure the highly competent and qualified human resources, and to continue strengthening and expanding mutual understanding and cooperation between Japan and Cambodia through the three main activities; Human Resource Development (HRD) Course, Japanese Language Course, and Exchange Program. In March 2009, project phase1 has been finished, and from April 2009 to March 2014, the project phase 2 has been implementing it 5 years term project with the purpose of “CJCC becomes the human resource development and information center to promote private sector development in Cambodia”. CJCC is managed by the cooperation between the Government of Cambodia and Japan under the technical cooperation project through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) “Project Phase 1-April 2004-March 2009, Project Phase 2-April 2009-March 2014”. The building, constructed by Japan’s Grant Aid, is located in RUPP’s campus and its construction was completely finished in November 2005, furnished with Library, Multi-purpose Hall, Japanese-style room (Tatami room), Computer Room, Exhibition Space and others.

Besides, CJCC is aiming at giving the first hand for human resource development and base station for information not only for Cambodian or Japanese but also for those who are interested. In addition, people will gather and exchange information with one another in CJCC. Some of the center’s facilities, rooms are also available for rental to outsider.
