On 27th August 2011, CJCC organized an Ikebana Class (Flower Arrangement Class) which was conducted by Ms. Uy Sopheap, staff of Exchange Program Unit (EPU) who graduated from Ohara School of Ikebana in Japan. She is also the member of International Woman Club at Hiroshima, Japan. She taught about the decoration of mainly Tateru Katachi (Vertical Style), but Hiraku, Naraberu, Mawaru, Katamuke were also presented. There were 30 participants, 4 males and 26 females. The participants showed their strong interest and enthusiasm to see Japanese flower styles, which are simple but very attractive. Most of participants wish to join this class again and they also suggested that CJCC offers similar Japanese-culture classes such as Cooking Class, Eating Manner and so on. |
