On Sunday December 2nd 2007, the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) was conducted at Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC). This is the 2nd time, starting from 2006 that this test has been conducted t in Cambodia. This test is organized every year in December by the Japan Foundation in cooperation with local organization in various countries in the world at one time. The JLPT test is the 3rd biggest test in the world ranking after TOEFL and TOEIC.

Almost 800 examinees crowded into CJCC and the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Royal University of Phnom Penh, the examination center in Cambodia. We did not see any big trouble during this year exam, as students and proctors are accustomed to this exam. Last year examinees were not familiar with the computer-marking system sheets, and some of the examinees had too much strain that they started to open the question sheets before they were instructed, and it seemed that some candidates were disqualified.

The result will be announced at the end of February 2007. Let’s check and see the good result then.
