Calligraphy Class on 17th December 2011
News - Exchange Program

On 17 December, 2011 from 14:00-15:30, CJCC organized a “Calligraphy Class” which conducted by Ms. Rumiko Suzuki, a Japanese Instructor at Royal University of Law and Economic (RULE) including Ms. Uy Sopheap with the cooperation between CJCC’s Japanese teachers.
Calligraphy is the art of writing pictography characters with an ink-drenched brush and a focused mind. It is used in some special occasion such as writing New Year’s cards or writing one’s name on special celebratory or condolence.

There were 28 participants from different schools and organizations in Phnom Penh. Students were practicing to write the Japanese characters again and again with the instructions from the lecturers until they felt familiar and accustomed to it.
After the class, as a memory, all students were asked to leave their writing on the panel in CJCC lobby that everyone can have a look for free.
The class was very satisfied by the participants and they wish to explore more about Japanese culture such as cooking class, Ikebana (flower arrangement class), Origami (Japanese Folding Paper) and others.

Japanese Chat Talk
News - Japanese Language

On 17 December, 2011 from 9:00-11:00am, CJCC organized a “Chat Talk Session” with the topic “Hometown”. There were 22 participants of 14 Cambodian Students and 8 Japanese people from JICA and other Japanese Companies. Students were divided into groups (2 Cambodian students with one Japanese people).
Most students enjoyed chatting with Japanese people and they strongly wish to join this kind of event again in the near future.

“It was a good chance to practice speaking Japanese language with Japanese people. It helps me to pronounce better and to make good relationship with other participants. I wish to join this kind of events again on the next occasion,” Ms. Thany, one of the participants said.

CJCC often organizes various kinds of events and activities to promote and strengthen relationship between Cambodian and Japanese people.

The 2nd Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) 2011

jcd-news jlpt dec2011-1On 4th December 2011, CJCC conducted Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in IFL and CJCC Campus.
There were 650 applicants applied for the test but 588 attended. The number of applicants level 5 was 57, level 4 was 146, level 3 was 227, level 2 was 114 and the applicant level 1 was 44. Most of them came from different schools and organizations in Phnom Penh and other provinces.

The result of this test will be released at the end of February 2012. Applicants can take the result at CJCC during our working hour.  

The application for first JLPT in 2012 will be available in March and the test will be conducted on 8th July 2012.
CJCC has organized this kind of test since 2006. From 2006 to 2009 the test took only one time per year but two times per year since 2010.
Please notice that CJCC is the only one center that provides JLPT in Cambodia.

Business Study Tour to “Ho Chi Minh City” in Vietnam
News - BTD Course

From 27 to 30 November 2011, CJCC organized a Business Study Tour to "Ho Chi Minh City" in Vietnam. The concept of this study tour is to create an opportunity for participants of "Production Management Course" of CJCC and the public to experience the manufacturing process, business management concepts and also to build business networking with local entrepreneurs in Vietnam.

In cooperation with Minh Tran Co., Ltd, we had visited many places including manufacturing companies and a school as following:

  2. HACA Vietnam Company
  3. Duc Tri School
  4. Saigon Plastic Joint-Stock Company
  5. VINA ACECOOK
  6. KEM NGHIA Nippers
  7. Vietnam Trade Expo in Ho Chi Minh 2011

In this Business Study Tour, participants were expected to obtain the following idea and knowledge that were really useful for them such as:

  • Gaining new business ideas and business concepts and sharing experiences.
  • Learning about the innovative ideas and steps for success.
  • Knowing the business opportunity.
  • Learning about the challenges of each business (start from a small business to a big one).
  • Knowing the production sites of companies in Vietnam.
  • Gaining ideas how to improve their productivity.
  • Building up a relationship and networking with local entrepreneurs in Vietnam.

Totally, 18 people participated in the tour. They were staff of NGOs, government officers, business owners, general managers and directors. Most of participants enjoyed the tour and wished to join this event again next time.
