By welcoming the free trade area in Greater Mekong Sub-region, logistics becomes one of the most important sectors in Cambodia. In this context, although Cambodia is about to enter into international trading market, logistic system in Cambodia has not been effectively developed. This course will be discussing current situation and challenges from various angles such as government system, infrastructure and capacity development.

     - Systematic Issues/Challenges and Economic Loss
     - Liberalized Competitive Market and International Logistics
     - Sophisticated and Diversified Demands
     - Greater Mekong Sub-region and improvement of Logistic System

Mr Shigeki Kawahara, Senior Economist, International Development Center of Japan, specializes in economic analysis by using various methodologies. He has many experiences in developing economic policies in developing countries.

This course will be conducted in a very interactive way by using group discussions. Materials, certificate of attendance and coffee breaks will be provided. The course will be conducted in ENGLISH. Mr. Shimizu studied architecture in Tokyo, London, and Italy. He was very active in the field of design, interior design product design, urban and architectural design. He has participated in a number of artisan craft projects of JICA, UNIDO, and UNESCO, etc. He was one of the judges of “Seal of excellence of UNESCO”.
