On April 28, 2024, the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) collaborated with Japan Foundation (JF) hosted a certificate awarding ceremony for 582 students who successfully completed Japanese language courses at CJCC. These students hailed from the 2022 KNY semester, 2022 PCB semester, and 2023 KNY semester. Additionally, the event included an entrance ceremony for new students joining the KNY semester.
During the ceremony, Dr. Khim Leang, the director of CJCC, delivered a speech in which he applauded all the students for their commitment to completing the Japanese language program at CJCC. He emphasized that learning Japanese is crucial for those currently working with Japanese companies or planning to pursue education in Japan. CJCC stands as an institute that provides high-standard Japanese classes.
Additionally, Mr. Kaburaki Tetsuya, the Project Coordinator of the Japan Foundation (JF) at CJCC, shared his impressions with all the students for their hard work in achieving this milestone. He emphasized that studying Japanese at CJCC not only provides language and cultural knowledge but also fosters strong relationships with colleagues and teachers.
The Japanese language courses at CJCC adhere to the standards set by the Japan Foundation. The Marugoto textbooks, compiled by the Japan Foundation, are widely used around the world for Japanese language education. These materials are adopted to teach students at CJCC. As a Japanese governmental organization, the Japan Foundation is dedicated to comprehensive international cultural exchange programs. Through its initiatives in culture, language, and dialogue, it fosters friendship, trust, and mutual understanding between Japan and the world.
Ms.Koa Sreynoun, a past pupil of CJCC-JF Japanese language course, currently works for a Japanese company in Cambodia, expressed her pride in studying Japanese at CJCC, as it enables her to communicate effectively with Japanese colleagues in her current workplace.
CJCC-JF Japanese language courses at CJCC not only teach the language but also integrate Japanese culture. This holistic approach makes it easier for students to connect with Japanese people. Upon completing the course, students can confidently use their knowledge and Japanese language skills to communicate, especially those aiming to work in Japan or for Japanese companies in Cambodia.
Studying Japanese not only enriches cultural understanding but also has practical implications. It can attract more Japanese companies to invest in Cambodia.
