On April 8, 2022, CJCC celebrated Khmer New Year to welcome the upcoming Khmer New Year 2022. CJCC had not celebrated Khmer New Year for a few years due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Therefore, this celebration was a very long-awaited and exciting occasion for all CJCC family.
The ceremony started with a monk blessing ceremony and Robam Trot performance. Robam Trot is a Cambodian traditional dance, originally from Siem Reap Province. It is said that this dance performance wards off bad luck from the previous year. After the dance performance, CJCC’s management team and staff together with honorable guests gathered around in CJCC’s garden to play Khmer traditional games and dance with Khmer traditional songs. Finally, the ceremony was brought to an end as everyone got their own bowl of Khmer rice noodles, called Num Banh Chok. As the sun was setting down, everyone went back home with a full belly and a delightful heart.
We are very grateful to be able to celebrate Khmer New Year this year. As much as we appreciate our staff, we equally appreciate all the support from our partners and clients. Wishing you all great health, happiness, and prosperity for the whole year through.
