On 27th March 2024, Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) celebrated the closing of the 6th cohort of the CJCC Accelerator Program (CJAP). The event took place at CJCC, with the great honor of attendee by Dr. Khim Leang, Director of Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC), Ms. Miura Yoshiko, Senior Representative of JICA Cambodia Office, Ms. You Bory, Vice President, Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC), Mr. David Shelter, Entrepreneur-In-Residence, JICA Expert of CJCC and CJCC’s staff, and the representative of the 8 candidates’ companies. 

During the opening ceremony remarks, Dr. Khim Leang, Director of the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC), expressed his gratitude to JICA, AEON MALL, and other stakeholders for their collaboration in making this day possible. He also congratulated all the participants for their commitment to completing the program. Dr. Leang assured them that CJCC would provide support whenever they require it.

On that occasion, Ms. Miura Yoshiko, Senior Representative of the JICA Cambodia Office also gave a speech during her remarks, and she commended those 8 candidates’ companies for their high effort to participate from the start until the completion of the program. 

She was also grateful to all stakeholders, including the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC), Cambodian Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA), Women Association of Overseas Japanese Entrepreneurs (WAOJE), and other program supporters for their strong support and participation in the program. 

Particularly, she denoted, "I would like to extend special appreciation to AEON MALL for their invaluable contribution to the CJCC Accelerator Program. Their generous support, both in terms of funding and in-kind assistance, has significantly enhanced the impact and reach of this initiative."

CJCC Accelerator Program (CJAP) is a part of CJCC’s Entrepreneurship Programs that was initiated in 2018 to address the diversification needs of the Cambodian economy. This program gets support from the JICA Technical Cooperation Project for the “Development of Entrepreneurs and Business Networking Services which is implemented at CJCC. Today, CJAP plays a vital role in the Cambodian ecosystem by enhancing the capacity of entrepreneurs, who serve as catalysts for Cambodia's socioeconomic development. Supporting and empowering the entrepreneurs is a primary focus of JICA's various programs and activities under this project.

In the end, CJCC would like to congratulate the eight companies (Alphabet order) Agro Agape, CheckinMe, Hospicare, Jobify, Mora BNPL, PPF Yummy Manufacturing, SHE Agrocam Products Co., Ltd, and Vissar Medical and Nursing Center for their effort in this 6-month program. CJCC also would like to express gratitude to ӔON MALL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD for kindly supporting the 6th cohort of the CJCC accelerator Program (CJAP). 

CJCC also expresses gratitude to the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICA) for its support of CJCC’s initiation. We commit to strengthening the journey ahead to make CJCC become the symbol of Cambodia-Japan Friendship.
