On 24 May 2026, The Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) successfully held the 28th Japanese Speech Contest In Cambodia. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including H.E. UENO Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan in Cambodia, Dr. Oum Ravy, Vice-Rector of Royal University of Phnom Penh, and Mr. ISOGAYA Hiroyuki, Director of the Japan Foundation Phnom Penh Liaison Office, alongside representatives from sponsoring organizations and various Japanese language schools across Cambodia.

The Japanese language course at CJCC was adopted based on the Japan Foundation Standard for Japanese-Language Education (JFS), based on the concept of supporting the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is the basis of language education in Europe.

Marugoto Match is conducted to provide an opportunity to Japanese learners at CJCC to practice their Japanese language knowledge, and it is also for building a good relationship between Cambodia and Japan. The purpose of this event is to strengthen Japanese knowledge that students have learnt from Marugoto textbook as well as to build the students' relationship.
