Japanese Language and Education are provided to meet the rapid rising demand from private companies (Ex: Cambodian & Japanese companies, NGOs, Bank), student and individual who are willing to study and work in Japan. The course was supported by JICA since the start of the center until March 2014 then it was handed over to Japan Foundation (JF). It has become a well-known and high quality Japanese language course in Cambodia.
This course is designed in accordance with the Japan Foundation’s standard for Japanese Language Education. JF standard was developed based on the concepts supporting the common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which serves as the basis of language education in Europe. By using the JF Standard, it is possible to see the level of proficiency by Japanese. “Can-do” describes six levels of language proficiency as follows.
Japanese Language Education Seminar is conducted by Japan Foundation (JF) Japanese expert focusing on sharing the Marugoto teaching method to Japanese lecturers. CJCC’s lecturers, students and other lecturers of Japanese institutions in Cambodia learned Japanese language education and Marugoto teaching method. The participants share and discuss their experience. The purposes of seminar are to strengthen the Japanese teaching capacity of Marugoto textbook which is the newest book in Cambodia and to build good networking between CJCC and other Japanese schools.
Japanese Speech Contest in Cambodia aims to sharpen and give an opportunity to Cambodian students to show their knowledge and talent of Japanese language via the contest. Japanese Speech contest is generally organized every year in May.
Quiz Game is conducted to provide an opportunity to Japanese learners to practice their Japanese language knowledge and conversation, and it is also for building a good relationship between Cambodia and Japan. The purposes of this event strengthen the general knowledge about Khmer and Japan, and to build a good networking between CJCC and other Japanese schools.
The ceremony was organized to strengthen good networking and to build a good relationship between CJCC and students, and student and student. There were 210 students joined the ceremony.
CJCC Student Speech Contest is conducted to build CJCC student’s Japanese language capacity and to motivate the student in studying Japanese. This is the first time to organize the contest. There were around 50 participants joined the contest. CJCC plan to strengthen this event for next year again.
CJCC Student Field Trip is organized to strengthen good networking and to build a good relationship between CJCC's lecturers and students, student and student. It also builds Japanese language capacity through playing Khmer and Japanese games.
This session is conducted to promote Japanese culture and to build the Japanese language capacity through providing knowledge of Japanese language with culture.
Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) orientation is conducted to guide new Japanese students, who have no experience in taking JLPT test, to know the process of taking the test. The orientation sessions are on second week of June before the test in July and third week of November before the test in December.
