CJCC Library

CJCC library (Information Resource Center) has many information resources and documents. It has more than 10,000 books related to education, technology, science, business, management, novel, newspapers, magazines, etc in Khmer, Japanese, and English. Moreover, there are many kinds of sources such as DVDs, CDs, and Videos that can help learners to gain more knowledge. In addition, there is also Japanese university information corner providing information about studying in Japan.

CJCC Library is opened not only for students, but also faculty and general public to enjoy hours of fun reading.

For holiday and days off for any special occasion, announcements will be posed on Facebook Page of CJCC Library or CJCC website.

Library Readers

Students and public can be a member by simply attaching important documents and filling up the application form at the library counter. You will get a membership card a week after registration.

1. Important Documents Included:

  • Student identification or citizenship identity card or passport (copy)
  • Recent photo (4cm x 6cm ) (within 6-months period)
  • Membership photo will be taken at the library.

Membership card is valid only for 1 year.

CJCC Students / participants are entitled to use the library without a membership card for a limited number of times (students will have to apply for a membership card to continue using the library).

If your membership card is lost, please immediately notify the librarian. $2 is charged for a new membership card.

Kindly inform the librarian if there are any changes in your status, such as new address, telephone number, etc.


1. Entering Library
Please show your membership card to the librarian when you enter the library. Student without membership card can not use the library or borrow books from the library.
If you forgot to bring your membership card, please fill up the "Using library application form"

2. Reading Books in the Library
Members can read any books or documents in the library. After reading, put the books or documents at the "Book Return Corner"

3. Watching AV Materials

  • AV materials can only be viewed in the library. Borrowing AV materials is not allowed. If you want to watch any AV material, please contact librarian and fill up the "Using AV application form".
  • Please return the AV material to the librarian after viewing.
  • AV is allowed to watch for 1 hour. If there is no other user waiting for it, the current user can watch one more hour. On the other hand, using AV in proper way is the duty of the user. If there are any damages while using AV, the user has to pay for the damage. Therefore, before using AV or getting it from the librarian, the user should check it correctly if there are any damages or problems.
  • If there are any problems with the AV material, please inform the librarian as soon as possible.
  • Copying any AV material is strictly prohibited.

4. Searching Documents

  • The computers for searching documents have stored the list of library books and the using instruction. If there are any questions you don't understand, please ask the librarian.
  • The classification of the book, document code and introduction has been stuck on the shelves, so that the readers can find the books more easily.

5. Borrowing Documents or Books

  • Only CJCC members can borrow books. You can borrow only 2 books at a time for 2 weeks.
  • You can borrow old issue of Japanese magazine after the new issue arrived. Only 1 magazine can be borrowed at a time. The period is for 1 week.
  • News, reference books, Dictionaries and AV are not allowed to borrow.
  • Borrowers must check the books for lost pages or damage before borrowing. If there is any damage or lost pages, the borrower must take responsibility.
  • The borrower must pay a deposit before borrowing the book from library. (Khmer book pays 10,000 Riel for each book; Japanese and English $5 for each book.) You can withdraw your deposit when the book is returned.

6. Returning Books

  • Please return the borrowed books on time or before deadline.

7. Fine

  • We will fine 1,000 Riels per day for each book which is not returned on time. Thanks for understanding and showing consideration.

8. Reserving Books or Documents

  • If the desiring books are borrowed, the borrower can reserve the books by filling in the application form at the librarian counter. The librarian will inform you when the books are returned.

9. Copy

  • Copying documents is allowed without encroaching upon copyright. Please contact the librarian when you want to copy a document. (Please read the elaborate Service Fee for payment).

10. Using Internet

  • There will be payment for using internet and copying in the library. (For elaborate information please read the Service Fee). Because of the limited numbers of the computer, the user can only use for less than 1 hour, but if there is no other user, the current user can use for 1 hour.
  • The following deeds are prohibitions. If breaking below regulations, the user will be fined and confiscated the membership card.
    1. Using outside Floppy disk, CD-ROM, DVD-R with library's computers is prohibited. If necessary, please contact the librarian.
    2. Changing the regular programs in computer (such as: changing password, removing or deleting any documents in computers or other electronic machines that is connected to Network).
    3. Setting up new programs, deleting old programs or existing documents in the computer.
    4. Opening library's private documents.
    5. Installing or taking apart computer case or machine.
    6. Using Center computer for gaining personal benefits and advertising.
    7. Opening website that affects social or culture value or relates to any other harassing pictures.
    8. Opening website that encroaches other's copyright.
    9. Setting up programs or homepage that disturbs other's reputation or private affair.
    10. Opening documents or programs that has viruses.

11. Information Counter can:

  • Answering the questions that relate to study in library or finding documents.
  • Helping to find the reader's needed documents and to search for information.
  • Gladly answering all the questions about library by phone or E-mail.

12. Requesting new books

  • The users can apply for new documents that are not available in library. Please fill in the "Applying for new document application form", and then hand it to the librarian.

13. Caution

  • Things that can not be taken into the library (please place and lock in the case beside the library counter).
    1. Shoulder bag, satchel, handbag and black plastic bag.
    2. Camera and recorder (such as: CD player and radio... so on).
    3. Scissors or knife.
    4. Foodstuff, umbrella, wet raincoat or things that can damage or affect the documents.
  • The reader must follow some regulations below:
    1. Do not take the books outside the library without permission or filling up the "Borrowing application form".
    2. Do not move or change the position of any equipment or material in the library.
    3. Do not eat or smoke inside the library.
    4. Do not write, fold, dirty or tear the pages of the books in the library.
    5. While using the documents, materials, equipments, and computers, please take good care of public property. If there are any damages or losses by intention, the readers will have to pay for those.
    6. Please always keep silent.
    7. Do not leave your belongings on the reading table; the librarian will not be responsible for any loss.
    8. Turn off your phone ringing sound upon entrance to the library.
