On June 3, 2026, Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) successfully held a promotional event for the 9th Cohort of the CJCC Accelerator Program (CJAP), bringing together entrepreneurs, startup founders, and ecosystem stakeholders.
CJAP is an accelerator program organized by CJCC with support from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The program aims to develop Cambodian entrepreneurs who can contribute to the country's social and economic development by providing business training, mentorship, and networking opportunities with companies, investors, and business organizations from both Cambodia and Japan.
This year's promotional event was held under the theme:
"Beyond Pitching: Building Start-ups Ready for Growth and Japan Opportunities"
The event provided participants with valuable insights into business growth, startup development, and opportunities for collaboration with Japanese companies and organizations.
During the event, Mr. Yamanaka Masashi, a JICA Expert with extensive experience in business consulting and human resource development, delivered a special presentation. He shared practical ideas on how startups can move from founder-dependent businesses to sustainable organizations capable of long-term growth.

The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Sak Sambath, Managing Director of Alphadesk Partner Business & Investment Consulting and JICA Expert. The panel featured Mr.Seno Naoki , Managing Partner of PAGI LLC and CJAP Mentor, Ms. Ry Thany, Managing Director of Norea Angkor Handicraft Co., Ltd, and Mr. Sok Leap, CEO of Sala Tech.
Drawing from their own business experiences, the panelists discussed startup growth strategies, fundraising, market expansion, and opportunities for collaboration with Japanese companies. The discussion also encouraged active participation from the audience, with many questions and valuable exchanges of ideas.
In the second half of the event, Mr. Sy Vanna, Senior Manager of Human Resource Development, CJCC introduced the overview and achievements of the CJAP program, helping participants gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities available through the accelerator.
After the event, a networking session was held with light refreshments, giving participants a chance to connect in a relaxed setting. Entrepreneurs, experts, and ecosystem stakeholders exchanged ideas and built new connections.

CJCC is currently accepting applications for the 9th Cohort of the CJCC Accelerator Program (CJAP).
The program provides business training, mentorship, and networking opportunities with companies and investors from Cambodia and Japan. Selected participants will also have the opportunity to join a study trip to Japan and build connections with Japanese companies and investors.
