On July 7th, 2025, the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) and AEON MALL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. marked another significant milestone in their ongoing collaboration to foster Cambodia's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), AEON MALL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD.  will support CJCC including  providing venues for the events, conducting the seminars and events,and financial support to CJCC’s flagship business capacity development initiative, the CJCC Accelerator Program (CJAP). The signing ceremony took place at the Angkor Kizuna Hall, CJCC.

Mr. Sy Vanna, Senior Manager of the Human Resource Development Department and a Business Development Service Provider, stated: “This collaboration is important for both CJCC and AEON Mall Cambodia, as it continues their support for startups and SMEs in Cambodia. It also aligns with Cambodian and Japanese initiatives to strengthen the startup ecosystem. This MOU offers valuable opportunities for entrepreneurs, SMEs, and startups in Cambodia to scale up their businesses.” 

Mr. Endo Fumihiko, Managing Director of AEON MALL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., added: “We believe that collaborating with CJCC, which has a proven track record in supporting entrepreneurship, will give us the opportunity to build the partnerships we need. We also believe that by collaborating with the CJAP initiative, we can understand the aspirations of Cambodian entrepreneurs and help them achieve their aspirations, thereby contributing to solving social problems.”.

Established in 2018 with support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the CJCC Accelerator Program aims to support entrepreneurs, SMEs, and startups in Cambodia. The program offers a variety of benefits, including:

• Intensive workshops
• Peer-to-peer mentoring from industry experts
• Business matching and fundraising support
• Pitching opportunities with Cambodian business associations and Japanese companies
• Boot camps with CJAP alumni, trainers, and coordinators to enhance pitching and presentation skills
• A business study tour to Japan to gain firsthand experience with successful Japanese enterprises

This marks the third consecutive year that AEON MALL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. has supported CJAP. This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to socially responsible business practices and its mission to improve community well-being and environmental sustainability in Cambodia. One of AEON’s core visions is to contribute to economic development and raise the standard of living through education and ecological responsibility.
