From February 28 to March 4, 2025, Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) conducted a training program titled "Management KAIZEN: Principles and Practices" for a group of seven participants from Bhutan. This program, organized in collaboration with the JICA Bhutan Office, was conducted for Bhutanese government officials, representatives of state-owned enterprises, and lecturers of educational institutions, with the shared goal of enhancing productivity in Bhutanese State-Owned Enterprises.
The training focused on Kaizen, a core philosophy of Japanese management that emphasizes continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency, and workplace culture. Designed to be both practical and theoretical, the program offered participants a chance to gain hands-on experience in applying Kaizen principles to their workplace. Through lectures, interactive workshops, and case studies , participants explored strategies to integrate Kaizen into their operations in a way that supports sustainable growth and responds to evolving markets.
A key feature of the program was the opportunity to visit Cambodian companies that are actively implementing Kaizen. These site visits allowed participants to see firsthand how continuous improvement can be embedded in day-to-day business practices. The training concluded with the creation of personalized action plans, enabling each participant to take concrete steps toward applying their learnings within their respective organizations in Bhutan.
Throughout the program, the participants showed great enthusiasm and commitment, which reflected a strong desire to distribute Kaizen in Bhutan.
It was a great opportunity for them to learn about the principle and practice of kaizen and to experience the application of Japanese management and kaizen culture in a third country, Cambodia..
This program, which is the first time that the center hosted the training course to the participants beyond Cambodia also marked a meaningful milestone for CJCC. It is also a valuable opportunity to demonstrate CJCC’s ability to provide high-quality Kaizen training not only for Cambodia but also for international participants.
CJCC will continue to offer training programs based on Japanese management practices such as Kaizen and remains dedicated to supporting the growth and innovation of businesses both in Cambodia and across the region.
