On 24 May 2026, The Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) successfully held the 28th Japanese Speech Contest In Cambodia. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including H.E. UENO Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan in Cambodia, Dr. Oum Ravy, Vice-Rector of Royal University of Phnom Penh, and Mr. ISOGAYA Hiroyuki, Director of the Japan Foundation Phnom Penh Liaison Office, alongside representatives from sponsoring organizations and various Japanese language schools across Cambodia.
The Japanese language course at CJCC was adopted based on the Japan Foundation Standard for Japanese-Language Education (JFS), based on the concept of supporting the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is the basis of language education in Europe.
"The new Japanese language course in Pchum Ben semester starts to open for the enrollment from today until October 12th, 2025.
The Application for the 2nd Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) 2025 is opened.
- The 1st Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) of 2025 will be open for registration from March 3 to March 26, 2025.
The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) for the year 2026 will be conducted on the following dates:
• Sunday, July 5, 2026
• Sunday, December 6, 2026
We ask all examinees to arrive at the test venue by 9:00 am. Room entry (check-in) will begin at approximately 9:40 am. Please make sure to arrive on time and do not be late.
• The July JLPT is conducted at both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap test sites.
• The December JLPT is conducted only at the Phnom Penh test site.
Starting from the December 2025 JLPT, examinees are strictly prohibited from using, touching, or viewing mobile phones and any other electronic devices from the time they enter the test room (Check-in Time) until the entire test has ended, including during breaks.
Electronic devices refer to any devices with communication or camera functions that allow data exchange via wireless or wired connections. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile phones, smartphones, smartwatches, personal computers, tablet devices, earphones, wearable devices, music players, IC recorders, and similar devices.
Examinees must keep all electronic devices turned off at all times during the test. Devices must remain turned off even during breaks.
If any device is found to be turned on or in use after the check-in time has ended, the examinee will be disqualified for misconduct.
Please note that if a device is turned on during breaks, this will also be considered misconduct and the test scores will be invalidated.
Previously, arriving up to 10 minutes late was allowed for each section. From the July 2026 test, late arrival is not allowed for any section.
If an examinee does not arrive by the Check-in Time, the examinee will be marked absent for the first section. For the second and later sections, examinees who arrive after the test start time are not allowed to enter the test room or take the test.
Please make sure to arrive on time for each test section.
Once a test section has begun, you will not be allowed to enter the test room.
