On 24 May 2026, The Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) successfully held the 28th Japanese Speech Contest In Cambodia. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including H.E. UENO Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan in Cambodia, Dr. Oum Ravy, Vice-Rector of Royal University of Phnom Penh, and Mr. ISOGAYA Hiroyuki, Director of the Japan Foundation Phnom Penh Liaison Office, alongside representatives from sponsoring organizations and various Japanese language schools across Cambodia.
The Japanese language course at CJCC was adopted based on the Japan Foundation Standard for Japanese-Language Education (JFS), based on the concept of supporting the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is the basis of language education in Europe.
For candidates in Cambodia, the JLPT July 2026 session is officially scheduled with limited seats across all levels. If you are planning to study, work, or apply for scholarships related to Japan, this is an important opportunity to obtain an internationally recognized certificate.

Japanese Speech Contest in Cambodia aims to sharpen and give an opportunity to Cambodian students to show their knowledge and talent of Japanese language via the contest. The Japanese Speech contest is generally organized every year in May by gathering all Japanese learners in Cambodia to join the contest. The contest is conducted under the sponsorship of Royal University of Phnom Penh, Japan Embassy in Cambodia, Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center and other participants.
